Communication and Boundaries
Struggles with communication and boundary-setting can lead to feelings of overwhelm, resentment, or disconnection in relationships. Therapy can help individuals identify their needs, express themselves clearly, and establish healthy boundaries that support self-respect and deeper connection with others.
Services
Umi Psychotherapy provides therapeutic support for both youth and adults who are experiencing stress, anxiety, emotional overwhelm, or life transitions. Whether we are building coping skills, processing feelings, or exploring identity and confidence, therapy helps clients feel empowered and understood. With guided mindfulness, strengths-based strategies, and individualized care, each session supports emotional well-being and personal resilience.

Land Acknowledgement
At Umi Psychotherapy, we acknowledge that we practice therapy on the traditional and treaty lands of the Huron-Wendat (Hyoo-ron Wen-dat), Haudenosaunee (Hoh-deh-no-show-mee), Anishinaabek (An-ish-in-ah-bek) Nations, and Mississauga Peoples. This land is part of the Dish with One Spoon Wampum Belt Covenant, an agreement to peaceably share and care for the resources around the Great Lakes.
We recognize the enduring presence and contributions of Indigenous Peoples on these lands, and we respect the history, spirituality, and cultures of the original stewards of this territory. As we work towards healing and personal growth, we honour the wisdom and resilience of Indigenous communities and commit to practicing cultural humility in our therapeutic work.
By acknowledging this land, we seek to foster a spirit of reconciliation and create a more inclusive and supportive environment for all individuals we serve.
