Anxiety, Trauma, and Relationship Therapy

Feeling Overwhelmed, Anxious, or Stuck?

You might be feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, stress, past trauma, or challenges in your relationships. These experiences can make daily life feel exhausting and isolating, especially when you feel like you’re constantly managing difficult emotions on your own.

Many people seek therapy for anxiety, trauma, PTSD, or relationship issues when they begin to notice patterns that feel difficult to change. You might find yourself overthinking, feeling on edge, struggling in relationships, or reacting to situations in ways that feel confusing or overwhelming.

These experiences can impact your wellbeing and may show up as:

  • Excessive worry, racing thoughts, or panic attacks that make daily life feel overwhelming

  • Difficulty trusting others, setting boundaries, or navigating relationship conflict

  • Symptoms of trauma or PTSD, such as feeling constantly on edge, emotionally numb, or easily triggered

  • Feeling stuck in unhealthy coping patterns or relationship cycles

Support for Anxiety, Trauma, & Relationship Challenges

Therapy provides a safe and supportive space to explore what you’re going through. Whether you’re seeking anxiety therapy, trauma therapy, PTSD support, or help with relationship difficulties, you deserve care that meets you where you are.

Together, we can explore the experiences, patterns, and emotions that may be contributing to your struggles. Therapy can help you better understand your anxiety, process past trauma, strengthen relationships, and build healthier coping strategies.

What Therapy Can Help With

Therapy may support you in:

  • Reducing anxiety and managing overwhelming thoughts and emotions

  • Processing trauma and healing from past experiences

About Our Clinic

MaryJoy/MJ

Clinic Director and Founder

MACP, Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)

At Umi Psychotherapy, therapy is a collaborative journey.

As the founder, I bring my clinical training and experience into a space rooted in compassion, curiosity, and genuine connection. I believe meaningful change happens when we take the time to understand what’s beneath the surface, the thoughts, emotions, and patterns that may be holding you back, and work together to move forward.

My approach is grounded in collaborative processing, where therapy is not something done to you, but with you. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, stress, relationship challenges, self-esteem concerns, emotional overwhelm, or simply wanting to understand yourself more deeply, I offer a supportive space to explore, reflect, and build practical tools for growth.

I view therapy as an active and intentional process; a place to strengthen emotional resilience, develop self-awareness, and challenge patterns that no longer serve you. By integrating evidence-based approaches with a warm, client-centred style, my goal is to help you feel grounded, supported, and empowered to create meaningful change in your life.

I invite you to explore our services and reach out to schedule a complimentary 20-minute consultation. It would be an honour to support you on your path toward healing and well-being.
